The horse is a wild and graceful creature who wield their power and boundless energy. Through human evolution, the horse became very important to the development of mankind’s abilities to manipulate our natural world and produce the abundance we experience today.
Superimposed to the image of the skeletal horse we experience the result of reprinting a small pattern to manifold proportions. Except for the center channel, pattern becomes a mediator of our relationship to the figure. A theory found in quantum mechanics explains the Unified Field. It is understood as a subtle vibration that encompasses all of life. Drawing parallels to the sound of AUM or OM and other theosophical beliefs of our interconnectedness.
A viewer may feel confronted by the images because displayed together they conjure the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The meditative act of repetition and printing over this work with pattern becomes an effort to acknowledge the truth of humanity while keeping a contemplative distance. The center channel however has been left blank for us to place ourselves within the truth and feel our unity with positive and negative aspects alike, creating a deeper understanding of suffering.
The colors and pattern choices are significant of the theosophical links between quantum and spiritual practices including sacred texts and histories.
